Welcome to my Website!

My name is Fabian and I am not only a Game Developer and Designer with great autodidactic capabilities, but also a hobby artist and painter, passionate photographer, gamer, book-worm, hiker, enthusiastic tinkerer and maker, cellist in an orchestra and choir singer.

After finishing my Bachelor of Arts Animation & Game at the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt, I am now working as a Gameplay Programmer at Crytek. During my studies I already created 4 games, two tools and countless small side projects and worked as an intern at the company unexpected GmbH, where I developed and designed fair-applications for companies like Bosch.

The QuantumVR Tool was my Bachelor project.

QuantumVR is a tool providing the technology and editors to easily compress virtual space. With this tool, you can create environments that contain potentially infinite amounts of space inside a finite space.

Aori's Spaceship Repair Shop was created in 48 hours in a team of 7 people during the Global Game Jam 2020.

In this UI based flow puzzle game, I was responsible for all UI programming, the interface to the backend as well as shaders, particle effects and post processing.

SpaceX Starship Mk1 1/144 Scale Model (2019)

This is a 1/144 scale model of the Starship Mk1 prototype by SpaceX. I designed the model as a model kit in Fusion 360 and printed it on an Ultimaker2+.

HoloVox (2019)
HoloVox (2019)

HoloVox is an 8x8x8 LED Voxel Display designed, built and programmed by me. It runs on an Arduino Micro and uses an 8-bit Shiftregister and 16 AND-gates to control the 512 LEDs of the Display.

The software is capable of rasterizing lines in three dimensions and has an API to render simple wireframe models that can be moved, scaled and rotated.

In this project which was my pitch, I had the role of the Vision Keeper, Programmer, VFX and lighting artist and the marketing designer as well as doing some environment design.
